Interior design of a 49 unit new construction residential building. The design intent was to bring Manhattan luxury and aesthetic to Long Island City. Apartment interiors are bright and crisp, with various textures and sizes of marble tile combining to create a look that is minimal but dynamic. Wood floors in a herringbone pattern and LED-lit ceiling cut outs bring out the character in large glass cabinet doors and bronze framed wine storage at apartment kitchens. Hallways and amenities use clean architectural lines in varying shapes and depths to add movement, from wood tunnel bookcase walls in the recreation room, to the extended ceiling drop that culminates in an oversized black mirror at hallways. The lobby floors and desk are cladded in creamy marble, which is given warmth from wood walls with inset bronze to personify modern luxe design.

1209 DEKALB AVENUE

Location : 1209 Dekalb Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Interior Design of all common spaces including the Lobby, Hallways, Recreation Room, Gym, Game Room, and Media Room. Throughout the lobby, circular elements are used, starting with the floor mats, and custom circular antique mirrors on the walls and ceiling of the vestibule leading into the lobby. With a combination of polished concrete floors, exposed filament pendant lighting, and oversized hanging chairs, the lobby boasts an industrial loft-like feel. The spherical elements continue with the round light boxes in the ceiling, metal reveals in the floor, and custom benches with metal privacy dividers. Oversized backlit graffiti murals create an edgy art gallery throughout the common areas of this building.

Long Island City, NY

Location: The Delmar 41-21 28^th Street, 

Interior design of an 18 story, 192 unit new construction residential building. Materials to play the starring role in this project, from the impressive double-story brick feature wall, to the back-lit metal mesh grid behind the unique reception desk, comprised of a concrete block contained within a raw steel cage. Unexpected use of geometric shapes is another theme utilized through oversized triangle pattern vinyl flooring in the gym, custom reclaimed wood and antique mirror polygon feature wall in the lounge, and large elongated hexagon tiles in apartment bathrooms, which also feature teardrop shaped vanity mirrors. Crisp silhouettes at apartment millwork play off the convention of distressed industrial modern, and make for interiors with distinctive style.

220 NORTH 10TH STREET

Location : 220 North 10th Street, Brooklyn, NY

Interior Design of a 7-story new construction residential building consisting of approximately 64 apartment units. The lobby was designed with the notion of a water droplet as our inspiration. The floor features a concentric pattern done in polished concrete on the floor. Reclaimed wood paneling, waterfall feature wall, bamboo garden, glass paneling and colored LED lights create a very unique rustic space resembling the effect of a water droplet. Space also includes a Recreation Room with custom bar style group table, custom water art wall covering, metal mesh screen, and vintage furniture. Apartment units also have a rustic feel with teak paneled kitchens, grey frosted glass cabinets, and chiseled stone backsplash. Glass pendants and chalkboard paint add a unique homey quality. Wood like tile and natural stone adorn the typical bathrooms while glass mosaics and bronze glass vanities define the master bathrooms.

139 NORTH 10th STREET _ Printhouse Lofts 

Location : 139 N. 10^th Street, Brooklyn, NY

Interior design of a renovated 5-story residential building, consisting of 36 loft-style units. The concept of Printhouse Lofts grew out of a timeless love for industrial architecture, reflected throughout the building’s construction and in its dedication to preservation and details. The result ­‑ authentic lofts that showcase soaring timber beam ceilings, restored wood columns and full walls of original exposed brick accented with high-end, modern finishes. Residences feature unique layouts with open-island kitchens, oversized windows, stainless steel appliances, and farmhouse sinks to round out the authentic industrial charm.

925-935 PACIFIC STREET

Location : 925 -935 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, NY

Interior Design for a new construction of two sister buildings. Total of 19 brand new condominium units featuring black lacquered cabinets and maple flooring throughout. Lobby features a curved accent wall and black mirrored wall panels with custom leather paneled bench.

785 DEKALB AVENUE

Location : 785 Dekalb Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Interior design of a new 6-story residential building, consisting of 70 apartment units and approximately 63,311 sq ft. The exterior was designed to flow with the artistic community surrounding the property. The result is a simplified brick and metal clad façade, utilizing wood planks salvaged from the wreckage of Hurricane Sandy. The overall design mixes sleek and rustic as a contemporary nod to the manufacturing history of the area. Most unique to 785 Dekalb is the full-height atrium, which extends throughout the building’s 6 stories. Amenities include a 5th-floor library lounge with wet bar and television, 6th-floor game room, and fully featured cellar-floor gym, bike storage, and laundry.

957 PACIFIC STREET

Location : 957 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, NY

Interior Design of a new construction 5-story residential building consisting of approximately 18 apartment units. Design concept included creating an industrial loft-like quality with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass partitions, concrete, epoxy floors, and exposed HVAC duct work. The kitchens and bathrooms boast a clean modern design with neutral colors and minimal details.
